FIELD: distance measurement.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to methods for measuring the distance to closely spaced and moving objects observed under conditions of rapid changes in environmental parameters and to systems for implementing the above methods. In the claimed method, the distance to the observed object is determined by the delay in receiving the slow signal emitted by the measuring station, which is the same for the reference object and the observed object and transmitted under the same propagation conditions. The distance from the measuring station to the observed object is calculated based on the known distance from the measuring station to the reference object and the delays in the reception of the slow signal emitted by the measuring station by the reference object and the observed object.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the system for measuring the distance to moving observable objects in conditions of rapidly changing environmental parameters.
