SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in the surgical treatment of diseases of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, namely chronic sinusitis, hypertrophy of the middle turbinate and synechia of the nasal cavity. The intranasal splint for the middle turbinate is made with the possibility of installation on the middle turbinate in the postoperative period, it consists of two plates of elastic material — A and B interconnected by a jumper in such a way that when the splint is installed, the jumper connects the plates in the axilla area. The plates have an anatomical shape of a pentagon with smoothed corners and rounded edges and correspond to the size of the patient's average turbinate. The intranasal splint is configured to suture both plates with a surgical thread with a needle. The method of installing an intranasal splint for the middle turbinate is as follows: after surgery on the paranasal sinuses, the intranasal splint is inserted into the nasal cavity so that the posterior edge of both plates is located towards the choana, one of the plates is located laterally from the middle turbinate, and the second — medially from the middle turbinate, while the lower edge of both plates is below the lower edge of the middle turbinate, the front edge of both plates is anterior to the front edge of the middle turbinate, and the bridge is located in the axilla, then the splint is fixed with at least one suture and tied surgical site.

EFFECT: use of the inventions makes it possible to increase the efficiency of treatment of chronic sinusitis, pathology of the middle turbinate, synechia of the nasal cavity due to the development of an atraumatic intranasal splint for the middle turbinate, which ensures the prevention of the formation of synechia with the middle turbinate due to the possibility of long-term fixation in the patient's nasal cavity in the postoperative period.
