SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose aplastic anemia. Magnetic resonance imaging is performed with a magnetic field strength of 1.5 T or 3 T in the Dixon mode with the determination of the average value of the fat fraction in the body of the ilium. With an average value of the fat fraction in the body of the ilium greater than or equal to 67%, aplastic anemia is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides establishing the state of bone marrow aplasia/hypoplasia without bone marrow trephine biopsy by determining the fat fraction according to magnetic resonance imaging.
