FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to wearable optical devices based on optical composite materials that allow a panoramic increase in the field of view, as well as to methods for manufacturing a composite optical material for such devices. The claimed wearable optical device comprises an optical composite material of at least two layers of an optically transparent polymer with nanoparticles of a highly refractive material with a refractive index above 2.8. The difference in the refractive indices of these layers is at least 0.3, and the van der Waals material consisting of two-dimensional layers interconnected by van der Waals forces is used as the indicated highly refractive material. The claimed method for manufacturing such a material includes the following steps: (i) obtaining nanoparticles from a highly refractive material with a refractive index above 2.8 by femtosecond laser fragmentation or ablation in a liquid; (ii) distribution of nanoparticles over the polymer by kneading to the required refractive index; (iii) formation of layers on substrates by centrifugation followed by polymerization; (iv) forming an optical composite material from the layers obtained in step (iii) by the liquid transfer method.
EFFECT: increased field of view to a level exceeding the physiological capabilities of the human eye.
