FIELD: devices and methods for obtaining sets of images.
SUBSTANCE: self-aligning device for obtaining sets of images comprises N cameras, where N≥2, optically coupled through N-1 beam splitters, which would allow placing cameras with any mounts on it, namely one or more reference cameras that capture a good quality image, and one or multiple target cameras capturing low quality image. The cameras are mounted on adjustable holders. The alignment module controls the holders by aligning the system using characteristic points/elements captured in the scene being shot, on the alignment target or using the alignment target simulation module, in order to initially match the images as accurately as possible due to shifts, tilts and rotations of the cameras and thereby converge to a minimum of post-processing for the final combination of images. The cameras are controlled by the control module. Image sets collected with different settings are used to train image enhancement models.
EFFECT: preservation of alignment during operation, obtaining sets of images for different scenarios, with applicability to moving scenes and scenarios for removing blur.
