FIELD: rail technology and ultrasonic testing of defects in solids.
SUBSTANCE: mobile device for ultrasonic testing of rails comprises two main search units (1) placed on a carrier trolley mounted on a mobile vehicle (3) equipped with two running trolleys (2). One of the running trolleys (2) was used as a carrier trolley. It also comprises two additional search units (4) placed on another carrier trolley (2). Each of the main (1) and additional (4) search units includes, respectively, the main (5) and additional (6) acoustic units with ultrasonic transducers located in series along the longitudinal axis of the corresponding acoustic unit (5), (6) adapted for emitting ultrasonic fluctuations in the corresponding rail. An electronic control and registration unit is connected to the ultrasonic transducers. Each of the main (5) and additional (6) acoustic units includes an ultrasonic transducer made with an input angle of 0 degrees, and two ultrasonic transducers made with input angles from 36 to 44 degrees without turning relative to the longitudinal axis of the corresponding acoustic unit (5), (6). One of these ultrasonic transducers is configured for radiation in the direction of movement of the mobile device (3), and the other in the direction against it. Other ultrasonic transducers in each of the additional acoustic units (6) are made with different values of the angles of entry and turn relative to the longitudinal axis of the corresponding additional acoustic unit (6) compared to the ultrasonic transducers of the main acoustic units (5).
EFFECT: increased reliability of ultrasonic testing and, at the same time, increased reliability of the device.
