SUBSTANCE: use for ultrasonic inspection of local sections of rails. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that device for ultrasonic inspection of local sections of rails comprises a frame enclosing an ultrasonic wheel search system with an elastic shell, filled with an immersion liquid and equipped with a set of electroacoustic transducers, angles of entry, the number of which is selected based on the required resolution and completeness of sounding of the controlled section, a support roller and a displacement sensor placed on opposite ends of the frame, wherein design of device is made with possibility of scanning various surfaces of rail, frame is equipped with retractable and folding support elements and is equipped with a constant handle, which enables to move the wheel search system along the selected rail surface.

EFFECT: improving reliability of ultrasonic inspection of local sections of rails with simultaneous increase of inspection efficiency and reduction of device weight.
