FIELD: hydrolysis units.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a method of power supply and operation of a combined energy gas turbine expander and alkaline hydrolysis unit, in which an alternating electric current generated by an energy source is supplied to the power supply unit of an alkaline hydrolysis plant, where it is rectified, the resulting direct current is sent to an alkaline electrolyser, where demineralized water from water treatment is also supplied. The resulting hydrogen and oxygen are separated, the separated oxygen is discharged into the atmosphere, and the hydrogen is purified from impurities and fed to the consumer. At the compressor station of the main gas pipeline, a combined energy gas turbine expander and alkaline hydrolysis unit are additionally installed. The way it works is carried out in two stages; at the first stage, the power supply of the alkaline hydrolysis unit, as well as the power supply of the compressor station's own needs, is carried out using high voltage alternating current 6-10 kV from the power generator of the power regenerative gas turbine expander unit; high-pressure fuel gas is taken from the main gas pipeline, heated with the heat of the coolant up to 100-120°C and expanded in the turbine expander to medium pressure, the expanded fuel gas is heated with coolant to 150-180°C in the medium pressure heater, the coolant is heated by the heat of the combustion products of the gas turbine of the energy regenerative gas turbine expander unit; heated fuel gas of medium pressure is fed into the combustion chamber of the regenerative gas turbine expander plant, as well as into the combustion chambers of the gas compressor units of the compressor station, the useful work of the turbine expander is used to drive the compressor of the power regenerative gas turbine expander plant, the useful work of its gas turbine is used to drive the electric generator. At the second stage of the method, most of the 6-10 kV alternating current generated in the electric generator is fed to the power supply unit of the alkaline hydrolysis unit, the voltage is reduced to 72-200 V in the transformer of the unit, this current is rectified in the rectifier of the power supply unit, direct current and demineralized water are supplied to the cells of the alkaline electrolyser; hydrogen obtained in an alkaline electrolytic cell is separated from water, purified from impurities and fed to the consumer, the resulting oxygen is separated from water and discharged into the atmosphere. The invention also concerns a device for implementing the method.
EFFECT: reduction in the cost of power supply of an alkaline hydrolysis plant.
