SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for automating the process of growing invertebrate animals, as well as to units for obtaining protein feed. The device for growing larvae comprises a container, a temperature measuring unit, a humidity measurement unit, a photo-video recording filming unit, a climatic conditions adjustment unit, a larvae image recognition unit, a unit for determining the central point of each larva image, a unit for calculating the distance between central points, a unit for calculating the largest size of each of the images larvae, a unit for calculating the movement speed of the central point of each image of a larva, a memory unit, a unit for calculating average values, a comparison unit, a control unit, a feed dispenser. The container comprises a bottom and a wall, and the wall is made with at least one corner. The temperature measurement unit, the humidity measurement unit, the photo-video recording unit and the climatic conditions adjustment unit are structurally fixed on the tank. The control unit is connected to a temperature measurement unit, a humidity measurement unit, a photo-video recording unit, a larvae image recognition unit, a unit for determining the central point, a unit for calculating the distance between central points, a unit for calculating the largest size of each of the images larvae, a unit for calculating the movement speed, a memory unit, a unit for calculating average values, a comparison unit, a feed dispenser and a climate control unit with signal transmission between them.
EFFECT: maximum biomass of larvae in the shortest possible time, with a minimum amount of feed.
