FIELD: controlling flights and landing of aircrafts (AC).

SUBSTANCE: method for controlling flights and landing of aircrafts (AC) in the near zone and landing zone of an airfield using a radar landing system. According to the method of controlling flights and landing of aircrafts (AC) using a radar landing system, including obtaining data on location of the aircraft in the airspace of the near zone of the airfield using a landing radar (LR), consisting of a heading channel, a channel glide slopes and data integration and transmission equipment (DITE) of the LR, air traffic control radar (ACCR), consisting of a primary channel, a secondary channel and DITE of the LR, a control module (CM), consisting of a workplace (WP) of the head of the near zone, WP of the head of the landing area, objective control systems, two radio communication stations and DITE of the CM, independent data on location of the aircraft in the airspace is additionally obtained by introducing broadcast-type automatic dependent surveillance equipment and an optoelectronic surveillance module in the LR, data transmission equipment in the ACCR, as well as an automatic radio direction finder and an uninterruptible power supply in the CM.

EFFECT: increase of probability characteristics, reliability of detection, observation and tracking of aircraft flying and landing in the airspace of the near zone of an airfield, as well as providing the possibility of obtaining and transmitting data on parameters of position and movement of the aircraft to the command control tower of the airfield with various options for performance of composite parts of the radar landing system.
