FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for multi-layer multi-pass welding of a pipeline without grinding. After welding the root of the seam, fusion welding is performed without filler wire in the overlap zone with a non-consumable electrode. Clockwise welding and counter clockwise welding are carried out with arc excitation along the layer obtained by hot welding. The phased arc initiation is controlled in the specified overlap zone, and then the subsequent consumable electrode welding is performed. The filling layer and the facing layer are welded in the same way. During welding with a non-consumable electrode, the seam filling due to the consumption of welding wire does not occur, which can provide heating of the arc excitation zone on the workpiece. Due to the high temperature of the arc excitation zone on the workpiece, when the consumable electrode is consumed, the melt bath cools slowly, which ensures its complete spreading.
EFFECT: formed arc start point is smooth without grinding, which improves the efficiency and quality of welding.
