FIELD: printing.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to a method for control of an error in positioning of a printing head relatively to a working table of three-dimensional (hereinafter – 3D) printers. A method for calibration of 3D printer includes installation on working platform (3) of calibration equipment (4), and on printing head (1) – of contact element (2), after which software is launched, installed on a computer connected to 3D printer, contact element (2) is supplied to calibration equipment (4) until contact, as a result of which an electrical circuit is closed, and a signal is sent to a printer control system, when receiving the signal, software records coordinates of a position of contact element (2) and working platform (3), an array of points located in accordance with an algorithm of movement of contact element (2) on different surfaces of calibration equipment (4) and in different positions of working platform (3) relatively to vertical axis Z is recorded. Data on coordinates of points is transmitted for processing to software on the computer and is analyzed with a developed calculation algorithm, and, based on these calculations, a program determines a mutual location of working platform (3) and printing head (1) with any change in their position in space.

EFFECT: obtainment of a method for calibration of 3D printer.
