FIELD: automated process control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used when performing protection checks of automatic control systems (ACS) of a gas compressor unit (GCU). Essence: in the ACS containing the controller, modules of input and output signals, using a configurator that connects the protection generation logic with the simulation logic, a protection check algorithm is implemented, in accordance with which in case of receiving a command to check the protection, the reading of signals from the input zone is disabled. At the same time, the ACS controller selects the simulation logic according to the number of the tested protection, in accordance with which it cocks or resets discrete input signals, increases or decreases analogue parameters to the values of protection operation.
EFFECT: automation of the process of checking the protection of GPU ACS.
