SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fiber-optic communication networks (FOCN). The technical result is achieved by distributing the wavelength values of m channel optical transmitters between active and inactive subscribers along independent routes. The total power from other channels to the channel with a wavelength λi is determined, then the value of protection against cumulative interference is calculated, the protection against cumulative interference Ak is compared with the required power value Ak rq, and if Ak ≥Ak rq, then information streams are transmitted at the established nominal wavelengths of m channel optical transmitters, if Ak <Ak rq, then the established nominal wavelengths of m channel optical transmitters are redistributed at a fixed time interval T.
