FIELD: nuclear power plant.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a method for controlling a nuclear power plant containing a nuclear reactor (3) with pressurized water. In the method, one or more control rods (16) are moved into the reactor core for power control, an injection device (22, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30) for injecting boric acid and/or deionized water into the primary circuit (5) to control reactivity. The method provides for a waiting period during which the nuclear reactor (3) operates at partial power until it increases the power to a target power exceeding said partial power. For the end of said period, the xenon reactivity and/or xenon concentration is calculated based on the actual xenon concentration, the actual iodine concentration and the waiting period obtained. On the basis of the obtained data, the predetermined position of the control rods is calculated, wherein said one or more control rods are positioned during the waiting period. If the waiting period exceeds the first predetermined time to raise the xenon concentration to the maximum value, then the rods (16) are moved to compensate for the loss of reactivity.
EFFECT: possibility of adapting the method to the selected power grid control mode to determine the contribution of xenon to the expected power increase phase.
