SUBSTANCE: materials for quantum electronics based on mixed crystals. A crystalline Q-switch for lasers in the visible spectral range from a solid solution based on single-crystal magnesium fluoride with the addition of yttrium and cobalt fluorides, corresponding to the empirical formula Mg1-xyYxCoyF2+x+y (0<х<0.05; 0.002<y<0.05) composition, wt. %: MgF2 - 90-94.8; YF3 - 5.0; CoF2 - 0.2-5.0, or single-crystal fluorite with the addition of terbium, corresponding to the empirical formula Ca1-xyYxTbyF2+x+y (0<x<0.05; 0.002<y<0, 05) composition, wt. %: CaF2 - 90-94.8; YF3 - 5.0; TbF3 - 0.2-5.0, grown by the method of horizontally directed crystallization from a melt of crystal-chemical systems MgF2-YF3-CoF3 or CaF2-YF3-TbF3 in graphite crucibles of compounds of compositions, wt. %: MgF2 - 90-94.8, YF3 - 5.0, CoF2 - 0.2-5.0 at a temperature of 1260 ° C and CaF2 - 90-94.8, YF3 - 5.0, TbF3 - 0.2-5.0 at a temperature of 1420°C with overheating of the melt in both cases up to 100°C in a mixed Ar + F2 atmosphere at an overpressure of up to 0.9 atm and drawing at a speed of 3 mm/h through the gradient zone of crystallization followed by cooling 30°/h.
EFFECT: creation of passive gate crystals with low absorption saturation intensity for laser Q-switching in the range of 0.45-0.75 μm.
