SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic chemistry and nanotechnology and can be used to measure temperature fields of objects in microcircuitry, space and aviation industry, fundamental biology and medicine. Material for temperature sensor based on measurement of effective luminescence decay time has hexagonal crystal structure corresponding to CeF3-matrix, is described by chemical formula Ce0.5Y0.5-XTbXF3, where X is from 0.1 to 0.3, and is presented in the form of rhombic nanoparticles with size of 15-30 nm.
EFFECT: material is characterized by absolute temperature sensitivity of 13.71-6.98 mcs/K in the operating temperature range close to room temperature.
