SUBSTANCE: scintillation material for detecting ionising radiation is a crystalline solid solution with the general empirical formula Li(Y1-x Lux)F4 with x=0.01-0.8 formed in the binary system LiYF4 - LiLuF4. Also, the scintillation material for detecting ionising radiation is a crystalline solid solution with the general empirical formula Ba(Y1-x Ybx)2F8 with x=0.01-0.9 formed in the binary system BaY2F8 - BaYb2F8.

EFFECT: production of scintillation materials, including large ones, with the possibility of directional sensitivity control of these materials to ionizing radiation with maximum sensitivity to γradiation-quantities.
