Separator (4, 4', 4'', 4''', 4'''', 4^v, 4^vi, 30, 30') contains at least one line (11, 11', 11'', 11''', 11'''', 11^v, 38, 38') gas supply to introduce gas (2, 2') into the liquid (1), which opens inside the drum. The separator (4, 4', 4'', 4''', 4'''', 4^v, 4^vi, 30, 30') has a sealed configuration in which the separation space of the drum (5, 31) is sealed from the surrounding media through mechanical seals or hydromechanical seals in the outlet area. When introducing gas into a liquid using a separator (4^v, 4^v), the first gas (2) is introduced into the liquid (1) after the latter is introduced into the separator (4^v, 4^v) through the first gas supply line (11'').
