FIELD: macromolecular compounds.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to namely the production of polyesters and can be used for the production of thermoplastic composite materials, polymeric materials for gas sorption, thermoplastics and thermoplastics, as well as biocompatible multifunctional biomaterials and carriers for controlled drug delivery and controlled release. The method for producing a copolymer based on betulin includes the polycondensation of betulin with a dicarboxylic acid in an inert medium with constant stirring for 24 hours. Betulin is mixed with either a dicarboxylic acid, or a hydroxycarboxylic acid, or a hydroxycarboxylic acid derivative in a molar ratio of 1:2. Gamma-Al2O3 and tert-butylhydroperoxide in a mass ratio of 1:1 are added. Polycondensation is carried out in an argon atmosphere at a temperature of 180°C and a residual pressure of 600 mbar. The reaction mass is cooled to room temperature, dissolved in chloroform and precipitated in n-hexane. The precipitate is separated from the mother liquor by filtration. The filtered mass is dried at a temperature of 45°C and a residual pressure of 30 mbar.
EFFECT: reduced synthesis temperature, using a catalyst that is safe for health and the environment.
