FIELD: aeromechanical measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to measure the hinge moments acting on the controls and take-off and landing mechanization of aerodynamic models of aircraft in the wind tunnel flow. The device includes a measuring head and a shank constructed according to a two-beam scheme, while the measuring head of the load balance is rigidly attached to the deflectable steering surface and is located on its axis of rotation. The measuring head and the balance shank are made in a single cylinder with a diameter D and a height L=0.25÷0.3D. Moreover, the measuring head of the load balance is fixed with screws through the bracket on the steering surface, the tail of the load balance is rigidly fixed with a screw on the fuselage, and the rotation axes of the steering surface, the load balance and the screw coincide.
EFFECT: load balance with high rigidity and minimum dimensions.
