SUBSTANCE: device for monitoring of safety for a railway vehicle, comprising the following: a sensor for signal supply, related to safety, at least the first safety relay, having two main outputs and the control output for closing and opening of the electric connection between the main outputs, at least the first test circuit, comprising the following: a test source of power supply, a test device for current detection, the first test switch facility designed to switch the safety monitoring device between the operating mode and the first test mode so that in the first test mode the main outputs of the first safety relay are connected between the test source of power supply and the current detection device, while in the working mode the main outputs of the first safety relay are disconnected from the test source of power supply, and the control device connected to the sensor, with the output of control of the first safety relay, with the first test switching facility and with the test facility of current detection, at the same time the control device comprises the following: a facility to control switching of the safety monitoring device between the first test mode and the working mode, and a facility for signal monitoring related to safety, and for closing or opening of the first safety relay, depending on the signal related to safety, in the working mode of the safety monitoring device.

EFFECT: exclusion of a non-detected fault during operation of a monitoring system and reduction of time of start-up procedure.
