FIELD: antibacterial composition.

SUBSTANCE: antibacterial composition suitable for producing a packaging material that extends the shelf life of food products. Antibacterial composition contains, relative to the total mass, the following components: from 0.4 to 0.8 wt.% of antibacterial components introduced as a mixture of two concentrates, the rest being an ethylene homopolymer or an ethylene-propylene copolymer. At the same time, the composition of one concentrate includes an antibacterial component, a polymer and vaseline oil, and the concentrates are selected so that the mixture of antibacterial components in the antibacterial composition includes a mixture of sorbic acid with betulin or dihydroquercetin. A method for obtaining said composition, the use of said antibacterial composition for obtaining products suitable for food storage, and a product for packaging products obtained from said composition are also proposed.

EFFECT: resulting antibacterial composition has high values of antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and provides an extension of the shelf life of food products packaged in the material from this composition.
