SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a polymer gel for local antibacterial therapy of infectious complications of injuries and surgeries on a musculoskeletal system, including a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the group of aminoglycosides, dioxidine, medium-molecular weight medical polyvinylpyrrolidone with molecular weight of not more than 30 kDa, distilled water, characterized by the fact that it additionally contains dimethyl sulphoxide, with the following ratio of components: broad-spectrum antibiotic from the group of aminoglycosides—gentamycin sulphate—1.0 wt.% or amikacin sulphate—5.0 wt.%; dioxidine—1.0 wt.%; medical polyvinylpyrrolidone—10 wt.%; dimethyl sulphoxide—5–25 wt.%; distilled water to 100.0 ml, also relates to a method for preparing a polymer gel, characterized by mixing dimethyl sulphoxide, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, dioxidine, medical polyvinylpyrrolidone, distilled water at room temperature, wherein after dissolution of all components, the obtained solution is autoclaved for 25 minutes at 110 °C and pressure of 0.5 atm.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a sterile broad-spectrum antimicrobial gel for local antibacterial therapy of infectious complications of injuries and surgeries on locomotor apparatus, characterized by anti-inflammatory action and increased diffusion into surrounding tissues, as well as the absence of the need to prepare the gel in sterile conditions due to the possibility of sterilization of the end product during its production by an industrial method, which is ensured by autoclaving the developed composition under conditions under which the PVP structure is not destroyed and the antimicrobial activity of the obtained gel is maintained.
