FIELD: tobacco products.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a flavouring agent for tobacco and a method for its production. The flavouring for tobacco includes a solid acid and a glycoside, while the weight ratio of solid acid and glycoside is from 1:5 to 1:1000. The solid acid is an oxide based solid acid selected from the group consisting of Al2O3-SiO2 based mixed oxides, Al2O3-B2O3 based mixed oxides and ZrO2-MoO3 based mixed oxides, or a solid metal salt acid. In addition, the present invention also proposes the use of tobacco flavour as a flavour in a low temperature cigarette. In the tobacco flavour of the present invention, the solid acid acts as a catalyst capable of significantly lowering the thermal decomposition temperature of glycosides, whereby the solid acid is particularly suitable for low temperature cigarettes.
EFFECT: at room temperature, aromatics do not volatilize or disperse; even when low-temperature cigarettes are stored for a long time, the flavour remains persistent and stable during smoking.
