FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a device for heating an aerosolized material and a method for determining the state of a component of a tobacco product. A device for heating the aerosolized material for evaporation of at least one component of the said aerosolized material is disclosed. The device comprises a first connecting interface for connecting to a power source to provide electricity, a second connecting interface for connecting to an external power source to supply power to the first connecting interface and a thermosensitive element located in thermal contact with the second connecting interface in such a way as to respond to temperature changes of the second connecting interface. The power supply to the first connecting interface from the second connecting interface is blocked on the basis of a thermosensitive element that reacts to an increase in temperature of the second connecting interface. A method for determining the state of the connecting interface of a tobacco product is also disclosed.

EFFECT: invention provides an improved system designed to create an inhaled medium.
