FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronics, namely, a system and a method for quick charging and control of battery supply for a metre of analytes in a fluid medium. A component of a charging device during operation is connected to the metre and may perform a logic of quick charging of a rechargeable battery. The logic includes control over connection to an outer source of supply and execution of a battery charging programme with the first speed of charging and then with the second speed of charging. The second speed of charging is lower than the first speed of charging. Higher temperature in the rechargeable battery due to the first charging speed has a negligible effect of heat transfer at a fluid medium sample. The metre may also include a switch of supply for control of current flow to a battery resource metre. The switch of supply opens, when the metre changes into a waiting mode. Condition of the battery charging is determined after the metre comes out of the waiting mode.
EFFECT: invention provides for control of battery supply.
