The battery unit for the device for inhaling a fragrance has a chargeable and discharged power supply source, a connecting element configured to be electrically connected to an external charger and a controller configured to control at least the power supply source, and when the total value of the period of connection with the charger exceeds the first predetermined period of time, the controller determines that the power supply source has degraded, and the controller is configured to periodically stop charging the power supply source, and the controller measures the total value of the period of time of connection with the charger, not including the period of time during which charging periodically stops.

EFFECT: it is possible to detect degradation of the power supply source in the device for inhaling a fragrance without information on the state of the power supply source and so on obtained at the charger side and transmitted to the battery unit via the communication terminal.
