FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for calculating speed profiles for urban rail transport. In the method, at the first stage, GPS information is collected using an information collection and processing unit installed on the vehicle, in whose memory information about the speed of the vehicle and its coordinates at each moment of time, as well as the number of the route of movement is stored, at the second stage the data processing module groups the collected information by routes and direction, at the third stage, based on the collected data, the data processing module calculates the median speed for each group of routes at each moment of time. At the same time, at the fourth stage, based on the calculations and data of the geoinformation map, an electronic route map is formed in the data processing module, comprising the results of calculating the median speed of movement with reference to coordinates, and a list of selected sections, which in turn comprise infrastructure objects, the travel speed among which should be limited in accordance with the traffic regulations, the speed of movement in the selected sections is calculated in accordance with the type of vehicle, as well as taking into account the radii of curvature of the railway track in the selected sections with turns.
EFFECT: increased traffic safety of rail vehicles.
