FIELD: physics; control.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road traffic monitoring and control. Proposed system enables monitoring compliance with road traffic rules, specifically speed of vehicles, railway crossing rules, controlled road intersections and pedestrian crossing requiring road signs. The system has a signalling device placed on the control point and an actuating device mounted on the vehicle. The signalling device includes a first controller connected to a discrete signal input unit and a transmitting device containing series-connected frequency synthesiser, transmitter, power amplifier, antenna filter and an interface for connecting an external antenna. The actuating device includes a second controller connected to an analogue and discrete signal input unit, a relay-controlled output unit, an LCD monitor, an external memory unit and a transceiver with a built-in antenna. The signalling and actuating devices exchange information on the controlled parametre over a radio link set up using spectrum spreading with pseudorandom frequency hopping and time-division channelling. Information is transmitted in a defined sequence on the level of controller service signals with spatial division of signals.

EFFECT: system is characterised by high operational efficiency.
