The use of a medicinal product for the treatment of mastitis of dairy cows, characterized be the following: the medicinal product is a composition containing a pulsatilla saponin B4 compound represented by formula I, and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, where the composition is selected from the group consisting of an injection and an intramammary infusion, and wherein the concentration of the pulsatilla saponin B4 compound in the said formulation is 50 mg/mL.

EFFECT: above described pulsatilla saponin B4 compound of formula I is effective for the treatment of mastitis in dairy cows.
