FIELD: pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of lysobactin for treating bacterial bovine mastitis. Lysobactin is administered intramammary in dose of 25 to 1,000 mg per quarter of udder. Invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating bacterial bovine mastitis formulated for intramammary introduction into cow mammary glands, containing lysobactin and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
EFFECT: declared intramammary administration of lysobactin in dosage of 25 to 1,000 mg per quarter of udder is effective and safe in udder medium, including lactating cows, and results in fast and prolonged effect.
