FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing sodium alginate from brown algae, which consists in the fact that seaweed brown kelp or fucus are prepared, placed in a mechanoacoustic homogenizer (MAH) and processed at a power of 100-500 W/kg for 30 minutes with hydromodule 1:1-1:5 with temperature control at 40±5°C, then the resulting semi-finished product of algae is treated with a 1% solution of calcium chloride in a ratio of 1:4 for 1 hour at 45±2°C, alginates are extracted with a 4% sodium bicarbonate solution in a ratio of 1:4 for 3 hours at 45±2°C, alginic acid is precipitated with a 10% citric acid solution until a pH of 1 to 2 is reached, sodium alginate is obtained by filtering the algin through a lavsan filter and washing on the filter until the pH is neutral, followed by treatment with dry sodium bicarbonate in an amount of 3.5% of mass of dry matter, filtered, dried for 12 hours at 45±2°C and crushed to a particle size of not more than 10 microns.
EFFECT: production of sodium alginate from brown algae (kelp and fucus) of nanoscale fraction using sparing technologies.
