FIELD: computational data processing.
SUBSTANCE: image is analysed in the photo obtained by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) during the flight, and the analysis is carried out by a computing module that is part of the UAV, using a machine learning algorithm, taking into account the search parameters, and the machine learning algorithm is further trained based on the search parameters of the desired object and taking into account the conditions of limited visibility; upon detection in the image as a result of the analysis of an object suitable for the search parameters, it is recognized by the computing module using a machine learning algorithm; when, as a result of recognition, the detected object is determined to be the desired object, the location of the detected object is determined.
EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of detection and recognition of small-sized objects in optical images in real time within limited computing resources.
