FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to autonomous navigation, namely to autonomous optical local positioning and navigation system. Autonomous optical local positioning and navigation system comprises a first positioning branch by address and information indicators, when information on street or advertising signs is extracted from the obtained video image, by means of technical vision, the inscriptions are decoded, coordinates or location of the object are recognized and estimated from the database, second branch of positioning by landscape image without pre-processing, third branch of positioning by contour frames, in which recognition is carried out by imprint of contour points and lines selected from the source image and fourth branch of navigation by optical odometry, final positioning solution is obtained by combining the obtained available solutions of the corresponding branches, after which there is a combination with the navigation solution, if any.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of an autonomous positioning and navigation system.
