FIELD: polymerization.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to a device for catalytic gas-phase polymerization of olefins, containing the first polymerization zone for an upward flow of growing polymer particles under conditions of rapid fluidization and transfer, the second polymerization zone for a downward flow of growing polymer particles, and a gas/solid separation zone. The second polymerization zone has an upper part attached to the separation zone and a lower part attached to the upper part, wherein the ratio of the height H01 of the separation zone to the diameter D01 of the separation zone is from 2.5 to 4.5, the ratio of the diameter D01 of the separation zone to the diameter D03 of the upper part of the second polymerization zone is from 1.02 to 1.5, the ratio of the diameter D03 of the upper part of the second polymerization zone to the diameter D04 of the lower part of the second polymerization zone is from 1.2 to 2. A method for performing catalytic gas-phase polymerization of olefins in this device is also described.
EFFECT: ensuring efficient gas/solid separation in the separation zone (4) for guaranteed separation of the gas mixture present in the first polymerization zone (1) from the gas in the second polymerization zone (2) and ensuring the production of polyolefins with a wide molecular weight distribution or obtaining copolymers having different comonomer distributions.
