FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of starting a multi-zone circulation reactor without polyolefin particles. Method includes gas transfer through reactor and gas recirculation pipeline. Dispersed substance containing a polymerisation catalyst and, optionally, a polyolefin is fed into the reactor. Gas flow is controlled in the vertical zone of the reactor equipped with a throttle valve in the lower part so that the rate of the upward gas in the lower part of the given reaction zone is lower than the final speed of free fall of the disperse substance supplied to the reactor. Circulation of polymer particles inside the multi-zone circulation reactor is controlled by correcting the opening of the throttle valve and the rate of supply of the dosing gas.

EFFECT: method of starting a gas-phase olefin polymerisation reaction in a multizone circulating reactor prevents transfer of fine particles into a recirculation gas system and prevents formation of lumps.
