FIELD: medicine; surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the conservative treatment of trophic ulcers of the lower extremities in chronic venous insufficiency. A healing ointment, a sterile gauze pad, a layer of polyurethane foam covering the ulcer, and a layer of an elastic bandage are sequentially applied to the ulcer of the lower limb. Polyurethane foam with a thickness of 20 mm and an elastic bandage of medium extensibility are used. Pressure of an elastic bandage is created on the surface of the lower limb with a value of 23–32 mm Hg.
EFFECT: method allows to accelerate the healing of a trophic ulcer by protecting the wound and young tissue from damage and creating optimal conditions for healing.
