FIELD: non-destructive testing.

SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic sensor for non-destructive testing of lining lemon-shaped and cylindrical bores of split-shell bearings comprises: a housing having protrusions on the outer surfaces of its side walls in its lower part; a plate of sound-absorbing material, which is glued with sound-absorbing adhesive with its upper end surface to the lower part of the body; receiving and transmitting piezoelectric plates, which are placed inside the body and glued with the above sound-absorbing adhesive to the upper end surface of the sound-absorbing material plate. The receiving and transmitting piezoelectric plates are separated from each other by a sound-insulating insert installed between them inside a layer of sound-absorbing adhesive. One communication cable is connected to the receiving piezoelectric plate, and the other communication cable is connected to the transmitting piezoelectric plate. The ultrasonic sensor also comprises a removable head made of sound-absorbing material, having a rounded outer end surface and a groove on its inner end surface, repeating the shape of the protrusions on the outer surfaces of the side walls of the lower part of the body with a plate of sound-absorbing material glued to the lower part of the body.

EFFECT: enabling the use of an ultrasonic sensor for non-destructive testing of lining the lemon-shaped and cylindrical bores of plain bearing shells of various radii and providing the possibility of fixing the ultrasonic sensor on the test surfaces of fillings of lemon and cylindrical bores of plain bearing shells of various radii.
