SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for processing radio signals in transceiver stations. In the method of processing signals in the time and frequency domains, the total signal received in the range resolution element and belonging to one or more moving sources is first processed in the time domain with recording the time points of arrival of the signal components. Then, in the frequency domain, useful frequency components of the signal are extracted from the signal spectrum in the Doppler frequency band, estimates of their parameters and spatial coordinates of the sources are found. After that, the number of sources fixed in the time domain is compared with the number of sources found in the frequency domain, and a logical conclusion is made about the absence or presence of detection errors.
EFFECT: reduced errors in detecting the number of sources moving at close speeds.
