SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely psychiatry, cardiology and functional diagnostics, and can be used to assess the formation of arteriosclerosis in the aorta and cerebral arteries of young and middle-aged patients with borderline mental disorders. The pulsation index, the final diastolic flow rate along the Doppler curve, the time interval of the beginning of the early and late systolic wave on the carotid arteries on the right and left are determined using ultrasound color duplex examination of the brachycephalic arteries, and also determine the distance from the jugular notch to the middle of the right inguinal fold in the patient. Calculate the indicator SY according to a given formula, a decrease in the index of the final diastolic flow rate of EU is determined compared to the indicator for persons 18-21 years old, an increase in the ratio of the peak systolic to the final diastolic Doppler flow rate on the common carotid arteries RY is determined compared to the standard. The indicators SY, EY and RY are assigned points. The scores are summed up to obtain the SU indicator, on the basis of which the formation of early arteriosclerosis in the aorta and cerebral arteries is evaluated. A new method of complex assessment of arteriosclerosis formation during routine diagnostic examination is proposed.
