FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiology and functional diagnostics, and can be used to assess the degree of arteriosclerosis in the aorta and cerebral arteries in older patients. The pulsation index, the end diastolic flow rate are determined according to the Doppler curve, the time interval for the onset of the early and late systolic wave on the carotid arteries on the right and left using ultrasound color duplex examination of the brachycephalic arteries, and also determine the distance from the jugular notch to the middle of the right inguinal fold in the patient. The indicator S is calculated according to a given formula, the decrease in the indicator of the end diastolic flow rate E is determined compared to the indicator for persons aged 18-21, the increase in the value of the pulsation index P is determined compared to the normative one. Indicators S, E and P are assigned points. The scores are summed up to obtain the indicator C, on the basis of which the assessment of the degree of arteriosclerosis in the aorta and cerebral arteries.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of early diagnosis of arteriosclerosis of the main vessels by the express method by assessing the totality of the most significant indicators.
