FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device for a broadband scanning antenna array is proposed, which comprises a housing connected to low-noise amplifiers, and a beam-forming system (BFS). The antenna fabric consists of subarrays, each of the antenna elements, on the reverse side of each subarray, a BFS is installed, made in the form of three layers of elements of beam-forming devices (BFD) of three levels. The first level BFD combines antenna elements in the array vertically and horizontally in the form of the first layer of elements, is designed to provide phase distribution for beam deflection in azimuth and elevation, and implements the smallest delays. The second level BFD combines the elements of the first level BFD, is located in the form of a second layer on the antenna panel, is designed to ensure the phase distribution of the beam in azimuth and elevation, and implements large delays. The third-level BFD combines the elements of the second-level BFD, creates a phase distribution of the beam in azimuth and elevation, and implements the greatest delays. Each BFD element consists of delay lines connected to the adder, each antenna element is made in the form of a two-polarization element of the Vivaldi type.
EFFECT: expansion of the operating frequency range, the increase in the scanning sector.
