SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in revision knee arthroplasty. The method of revision arthroplasty of the knee joint includes restoration of the level of the joint space, which is performed as follows: measuring the level of the joint space in relation to the level of the apex of the head of the fibula based on radiography or computed tomography data from the healthy side, and measuring during surgery using a device for determining the position of the joint space in revision arthroplasty of the knee joint, consisting of a rod with a millimeter scale applied to it, which is installed in a cylindrical body with the possibility of moving and fixing with the help of a screw element, while on the generatrix of the body there is a guide element, in which it is located with the possibility of moving and fixing with using a screw element, a telescopic probe with a curved end, and the rod fixed on the holder, the distance from the level of the head of the fibula to the level of the cut, the calculation of the level of the joint space JL from the level of the cut of the tibia, calculated by the formula JL = FHJL + TLFH, where JL is the level joint space JL, mm, FHJL is the distance from the level of the apex of the fibular head to the level of the joint space on the healthy side, mm, TLFH is the distance from the level of resection of the tibia to the level of the apex of the fibular head, mm, after which, by selecting the thickness of the spacers and tibial blocks the level of the gap is restored.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency in revision knee arthroplasty due to a more accurate restoration of the level of the joint space in relation to the level of the apex of the head of the fibula.
