FIELD: tires.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a tire comprising: a carcass structure including at least a carcass ply having opposing side edges associated with respective bead structures; a tread band applied in a radially outward position relative to the frame structure; a pair of sidewalls applied on the sides on opposite sides relative to the frame structure; and at least one painted decorative element having a thickness of 200 to 800 mcm and applied to at least one side of said pair of sidewalls. Moreover, said pair of sidewalls contains an elastomeric composition containing (i) at least one diene elastomeric polymer and (ii) an ozone protection system. Wherein said at least one decorative element is made of a cross-linked elastomeric composition containing: (i) 100 weight parts of an elastomeric polymer containing from 30 to 70 weight parts of natural and/or synthetic isoprene rubber and from 30 to 70 weight parts of rubber selected from the group consisting of butyl rubber, halobutyl rubber, butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and mixtures thereof, (ii) from 5 to 120 weight parts of at least one reinforcing filler, (iii) optionally at least 0.5 weight parts of at least one colouring agent; and (iv) an optional non-staining ozone protection system. At the same time, said at least one decorative element is directly applied unvulcanised or partially vulcanized to said at least one sidewall of said pair of green tire sidewalls and subjected to co-vulcanization with the green tire. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the above tire.

EFFECT: ensuring good resistance to abrasion and impacts during tire use, as well as ensuring reduction of cracking and discoloration and/or discoloration of the sidewall.
