SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices and methods for preventing the formation of ice deposits on the wires of the contact network of railways. In the preventive heating system of the contact network comprising the contact suspension of two adjacent tracks, tires of traction substations, supply lines, switches and disconnectors, in the system at the traction substation, a voltage booster unit is additionally connected to the jumper between the spare and positive tires using electrical connectors, which turns on and regulates the voltage by current and voltage in the contact network. The control input of the voltage booster unit is connected by a wired communication channel to the output of the control device assembly. The control device assembly sets the required voltage level for the booster device based on the input information that it receives as inputs from the current and voltage sensor unit at the traction substation through a wired channel, from the current and voltage sensor unit at the sectioning post via radio channels, from the voltage sensor unit at the intersubstation zone through radio channels.
EFFECT: adjusting the voltage level in the contact network.
