FIELD: power supply.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to power supply lines contacting current collectors of vehicles. The method for determining the components of the circulating current flowing in an alternating current traction network with two-way power supply of inter-substation areas consists in the fact that the voltages at the feeders of adjacent traction substations and the current of the feeder of one of the traction substations are measured synchronously, then the measurements are marked in time using a satellite time synchronisation system and the data is transmitted to an electronic computer calculating the components of the circulating current. At the first stage therein the power is deactivated at one of the traction substations, the values of the voltages and currents and phases thereof at the beginning and the end of the contact network are measured, and the total resistance of the contact system is determined. At the second stage, the voltage at the second substation is activated, the values of the voltage of the traction substation feeders, the current of the contact system and phases thereof are measured, and the values and phases of the longitudinal and lateral components of the circulating current are calculated by the proposed formulas. Also proposed is an apparatus for determining the components of the circulating current in the section of an alternating current traction network.
EFFECT: increased information content of determining the components of the circulating current.
