SUBSTANCE: design for providing a horizontal support and a method for providing a horizontal support for side screen (40, 40', 64) of gas duct (24, 24', 24", 24"') of a suspended structure intended for flue gases are proposed, with the side screen containing evaporation water pipes having the first temperature and the flue gas duct containing superheater pipe (48, 48') which has a temperature higher than the first temperature and has rigid horizontal pipe sections (50) extending across the flue gas duct between side screen (40, 40', 64) and second side screen (42) of the flue gas duct, and rests on top of suspension (56, 56') operating at a temperature higher than the first temperature, while rigidity of the side screen is increased by providing horizontal support for side screen (40, 40', 64) by means of horizontal pipe sections (50) containing end parts (52, 54) attached to the side screens by attachments (60, 60', 68) that allow relative movements of the end parts relative to the side screen to which the end part is attached only in the direction of their thermal movement relative to each other.
