METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF SUBCONJUNCTIVAL SCLERAL RUPTURE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61F9/07 A61F9/08 

FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: scleral rupture is sealed with sutures, vitrectomy, endolaser coagulation of the retina and vitreous cavity tamponade with silicone oil. After sealing the rupture of the sclera with interrupted sutures, 3 25G ports are installed in the flat part of the sclera. Subtotal vitrectomy is performed with removal of the posterior hyaloid membrane, the retina is mobilized with a solution of PFOS. Subretinal fluid is removed through retinal breaks. Endolasercoagulation of the retina is performed, after which the PFOS solution is replaced with air and the vitreal cavity is plugged with silicone oil 5,700 mPaHs.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to prevent the development of PVR, the development of hypotension with subsequent subatrophy of the eyeball, to prevent recurrence of bleeding and progression of retinal detachment, to preserve the eyeball as an organ, to obtain visual functions.
