The method for producing shells with longitudinal ribs on the outer surface includes installing the shell blank on a matrix with a lead-in, its forming by drawing through the matrix with a punch, while longitudinal ribs are formed in one combined drawing operation with a diameter change coefficient equal to m_d=D₁/D₀, where m_d is the diameter change factor; D₁ is the inner diameter of the working band of the matrix, equal to the outer diameter of the finished shell; D₀ is the outer diameter of the blank-shell with a thinning factor equal to m_s =lh/S, where m_s is the thinning factor; h is the height of the longitudinal ribs of the shell, S is the wall thickness of the shell blank, and local areas along the perimeter of the working belt of the matrix have depressions with a depth equal to the height of the longitudinal ribs of the finished shell h, corresponding to the shape, number and dimensions of the longitudinal ribs obtained on the outer surface of the shells.
